Knotfest 2014 resizedWhile the two-day Knotfest, happening on October 25th and 26th, has a stellar lineup even if you’re not a fan of Slipknot, tickets must not be moving as fast as initially expected. Goldstar, which is a live entertainment deals website, is offering lawn tickets for each day’s show for only $12.50, or half off the $25/lawn seat they’re charging. That’s an amazing deal, especially considering that each ticket comes with a digital download of Slipknot’s .5: The Grey Chapter. With Anthrax, Danzig, Testament, Volbeat, Hatebreed, Carcass, Whitechapel and many more playing on the two days, even $25/day (or $45 if you buy a two-day lawn ticket) is worth it. But for $25 total, it’s even better.

Maybe it’s the burning camel shit that’s keeping it from moving more tickets?  Either way, if you’re in California, there’s no reason not to pick up tickets, especially at such a bargain-basement price. Hopefully Knotfest is selling well enough, and this is more of an effort to pack the place out and not a last-ditch effort to pump up ticket sales, because if that lineup can’t sell tickets, then the metal concert industry is in trouble.
