The current situation in Europe has become more sensitive these past few days, where even Brussels, the capital of Belgium, has gone into their highest terrorist alert level but things haven’t seemed to stop there, as according to some reports, the cybergroup of hacktivists Anonymous allegedly were able to reveal a list of possible targets set by ISIS across Europe and the rest of the world and apparently one of them was a show by Five Finger Death Punch.

According to the reports, ISIS had a list of different events throughout the world as targets for another terrorist attempt, including the Survivor Series from WWE in Atlanta, GA. All the events were supposed to be held tomorrow Sunday 22nd and among those events was a Five Finger Death Punch concert in Milan, Italy. While there’s not 100% confirmation about the authenticity of these possible attacks, some of the following events have been cancelled while the proper investigations are taking place:

  • Demonstration by Collectif du droit des femmes (Paris)
  • Cigales Electroniques with Vocodecks, RE-Play & Rawtor at Le Bizen (Paris)
  • Concrete Invites Drumcode: Adam Beyer, Alan Fitzpatrick, Joel Mull at Concrete (Paris)
  • Feast of Christ the King celebrations (Rome/Worldwide)
  • Al-Jihad, One Day Juz (Indonesia)
  • University Pastoral Day (Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Lebanon)

Anonymous, who declared war to ISIS a few days ago said about the findings:

“We only appeared now because our goal was to remain undercover and report everything to the right authorities and let them take all the action. But when authorities do not take action, Anonymous does. This part of the op started last Monday and has, and will be active 24 hours a day as long as the op is going on.”

Since the list was released, the FBI and other pertinent authorities are investigating the veracity of the tips. WWE’s Survivor Series are actively taking security measures, according to Mark Winne (a reporter for the Atlanta-based WSB-TV) and has issued a series of tweets indicating that the FBI and authorities in Atlanta are already on the case.

WSB-TV also received the following statement from the FBI: “The FBI is aware of reports of an alleged threat that includes an Atlanta, Georgia venue and event. While we take all threats seriously, we do not have specific or credible information of an attack at this time. We have, however, made the proper notifications as we continue to work closely with our law enforcement and private sector partners to keep our community safe.”

The band hasn’t released any sort of statement regarding the threat or the scheduled show tomorrow in Milan but, hopefully, all necessary precautions are taken and we don’t have to repeat what happened to Eagles of Death Metal last week.
