Case dismissed against King 810 singer

Posted by on June 30, 2014

The  last we heard from King 810, half of its members had been arrested for beating up a man in their hometown of Flint. Then vocalist David Gunn’s charges appeared to be upgraded to “assault with intent to murder” for the October 2013 incident that left a man in critical condition. That appeared to put the  band’s appearance on this summer’s Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival in question. The best place to find out what was happening with the band was via their Facebook page. While many bands would want to sweep a crime like that under the rug, King pretty much bragged about the arrest. Now it appears that they’ve got something else to brag about – As of about an hour ago, the band posted the following:

UPDATE: The case against David Gunn was just dismissed by the judge. The case against Gene was bound over to circuit court. Bond was amended for travel. See you in San Bernardino for Mayhem. Yours, KING

There you have it. That means that bassist Eugene Gill will be allowed to travel, but he’s not totally out of the woods yet. In short, if you see King 810 this Summer on Mayhem, and think they suck, you might want to keep your opinion about them to yourself, since they obviously have no problems with proudly beating up people. The band’s EP, proem, is out now, and the full length will be released in August. The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival starts on Saturday (5).
