Just over a week ago Of Mice & Men were forced to cancel their tour with Crown The Empire and Volumes when Austin Carlile was hospitalized – yet again.
He checked in from the hospital a few days ago, went under the knife yesterday at Stanford Hospital in California, and now today he’s announced that after being, “under for about 5 hours,” he made it through the surgery.
This has been an ongoing issue for Carlile, who collapsed at a show back in 2009, and eventually had surgery in 2010 for a, “genetic heart disorder.” Hopefully this is the last surgery for the former Attack Attack! singer for a long time, and he has a speedy recovery as the band is scheduled to play OzzFest Japan later this year in November.
My big & final surgery of this whole ordeal is today here in the Stanford Hospital @ 1:30 pm. I'll be under for about 5 hours, here we go!
