Rotting Out might have broken up last year, but they’ve found themselves in the news quite a bit this year, following their former frontman Walter Delgado’s arrest back in March. From Los Angeles, Delgado’s van was pulled over in Ohio when for following too closely. Delgado and Search Bloc guitarist Anthony Jochum said they were transpoirting gear, but the speaker cabinets were actually stuffed with 70 pounds of pot, 1,000 hash oil jars and some steroids. Delgado said in a since-deleted tweet that he didn’t even like weed, and Search Bloc is a straight-edge band.
That doesn’t mean that the cops took that into account, because both were sentenced to 18 months of prison after pleading guilty to third-degree possession of drugs. According to Lambgoat, Delgado’s sentence began on July 22, and will be eligible for release in September 2017.
