Thanks to our friends at Metal Injection for catching an interesting news tidbit about this year’s performers at the Revolver Golden Gods Award Show. See, we reported the nominees and performances for the metal award show last week before video of the actual press conference made its way online. However, apparently a little more information about Devildriver and Asking Alexandria’s performances that wasn’t made clear in press releases was announced during the press conference.

During said press conference (video of which can be seen above), it was revealed that Asking Alexandria will be joined by Sebastian Bach for a rendition of Skid Row’s “Youth Gone Wild,” while Devildriver will be joined by Hatebreed’s Jamey Jasta and others for an all-star tribute to Black Flag. While it comes as a nice surprise to hear, it shouldn’t come as too much of a shock either. It’s not too hard to believe that both Devildriver and Hatebreed are fans of the hardcore legends, making this tribute extra exiting to see. And though there’s the obvious age gap between the two, Asking Alexandria latest EP Life Gone Wild features recorded covers of “Youth Gone Wild” and “18 And Life.”

It is presently unclear how this special element will affect both band’s sets at the show, however bands at past Revolver Golden Gods ceremonies have performed around five songs each. Also set to perform is the original Alice Cooper Band, Duff McKagan’s Loaded and Volbeat. We’ll keep you posted if more is revealed.
