Trump rally, Million Juggalo March both taking place in DC on 9/16

Have you heard of the Mother of All Rallies? If you’re a Trump supporter, you might have. According to RARE and the event’s website, it’s an “all day and all night rally for American culture” that’s taking place in Washington, D.C. on September 16th. Given the alt-right (aka neo-Nazi) rally that took place in Charlottesville, VA this weekend and the promise that they’re going to keep protesting and fighting in cities around the world, it’s quite possible that they’ll join the rally. That in and of itself should suggest that it’s going to be closely watched, being in the nation’s capitol and all. As this weekend proved, any march or protest they join will be met by protestors – most likely tenfold now.

However, maybe the Mother of All Rallies should have checked the calendar, as there’s another rally taking place in DC that same day – the Million Juggalo March. They first announced the march in 2016, and while it’d be easy to dismiss this as “Gathering of the Juggalos DC,” it’s more than just that. Insane Clown Posse are still trying to prove that their followers shouldn’t be classified as gang members, even if there’s been some pretty horrendous activity from it’s followers. However, despite the redneck appeal of rapping clowns, they have a code of morals, and while there are certainly some Trump supporters among their ranks, they’d almost definitely draw the line at Nazis and the alt-right. Juggalos are many things – white nationalists aren’t one of them. So it should be extremely interesting to see how the two rallies overlap and what happens as a result.
