AvengedSevenfoldInCallofDutyThis might be more exciting to fans of the immensely popular video game franchise Call of Duty than it is to fans of Avenged Sevenfold, but a song from their forthcoming album, Hail to the King, will be featured on the latest (and last) downloadable content for last year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. “Apocalypse “will launch on Xbox Live on August 27th, the same day the album is released. The band has been  involved with Call of Duty since 2010, way back when “Welcome to the Family” launched via a video for the first Black Ops game shortly before Nightmare came out.

The last DLC for Black Ops 2 before Call of Duty: Ghosts is released later this year will have four new multiplayer maps and a new Zombies experience called “Origins,” Shacknews reports. The Avenged song will play during the intro of the Zombie episode, which takes place during WW1. If you’ll remember, the band was actually featured in the ending of the game, playing “Carry On.” That song, which was the first new music from the band since Nightmare, will not be on the new album.
