This past Tuesday, a fan jumped onstage at the Queens of the Stone Age show in St. Petersburg, FL, interrupting “The Vampyre of Time and Memory.” It didn’t go over that well with frontman Josh Homme, who was hugged by the fan. There was a bit of a scuffle, interrupting his vocals, and after the guy made it back to the crowd, while the band continued to play, Homme went off on a bit of a rant:

Don’t do that, because I’ll fucking… I don’t care if you love me. You can stay right there dude. I don’t know what you’re trying to do. You’re lucky I didn’t fuck you up bro. I’m here to play for you, not jerk you off, you fucking douchebag.

He then addressed the crowd, saying:

Cause we’re going to be together right? That motherfucker doesn’t know what we’re talking about. We’re talking about being together, I want to play it for, I want to show you something, I want to be together, you know? I wanna… I want to do something together, but I don’t want this asshole to be up on the stage… Fuck that guy. Long live us, but fuck this guy.

It’s not the first time Homme has gone on a rant onstage. In Oslo in 2008, he reacted to getting something thrown at him onstage during the Norwegian Wood Festival, launching into an expletive-laden rant and having the offender removed.
