Babymetal is back! May 10th we will see the official release of “Elevator Girl,” the new single heralding the arrival of a brand new record. A live video of the track can be experienced below. The J-pop/metal giants’ overall third studio full length effort is expected to arrive later this year, which will mark a new era for the band. This new era announced last year through cryptic messages posted to their fans.

This new era surely refers to the departure of Yuimetal who has gone solo. The release of “Starlight” last fall, solidified the new Babymetal line up, which will remain as Su-Metal and Moametal.

On Friday, October 11th Babymetal will play their first-ever US headlining arena show at the Forum in Los Angeles. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday (26th).

Last year, after the release of Metal Resistance, Babymetal broke records at The SSE Arena, Wembley, becoming the first Japanese act to ever headline the venue. The band also headlined the Tokyo Dome for a two night run that saw them play to a packed house each night.
