Baroness already announced that they’ll be releasing Purple, their fourth full length album, on December 18th, just in time for Christmas. Today they announced that they would  be hitting the road to tour behind the album starting in November and leading up past the release of the album, ending at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus Bar on December 20th. They’ve also released a video for “Chlorine & Wine.” It’s more or less a performance video, showing the band  recording the song. With the exception of one color, the video’s black and white. You get one guess as to the other color. Here’s what the band said about their tour:

We’ve been off tour for too long. We wrote an album, we recorded an album, now we’re ready to play this album. It took a bit longer to finish than we anticipated, and we’re still rushing to get everything ready. Big thanks to everyone in Europe and the UK who came out and helped us get back on stage this past summer. Extra thanks to the audience at the Reading and Leeds festivals who, with less than 24-hours notice learned and sang our new song, “Chlorine & Wine,” with us as we played it in front of an audience for the first time ever. We welcomed the assistance.

We’ll be touring around the eastern half of the US late this fall (dates below and on sale now at YourBaroness.com/tour), and finally playing some US shows again. I cannot tell you how thrilled we are to play out again. It’s amazing to see how little our US routes have changed over after more than a decade’s worth of touring. At the risk of sounding cliche, you have to understand that without the overwhelming support of your local music scenes, we simply could not have lasted this long as a touring band. It certainly wouldn’t be worth the amount of wear-and-tear we’ve shouldered the past several years, or all the lineup changes, or the time away from home and loved ones. While the musical landscape has shifted tremendously since Baroness began in 2003, we must acknowledge that the continued support of local audiences, independent music sellers, and indie promoters has NOT. You all have kept us motivated to make music with more creativity and more enthusiasm, as time marches on. Our aim has always been simple, though it has never been easy to achieve. We want to play with as much energy and as much volume as we can; we have set ourselves to task to write better, more creatively challenging songs until we truly have nothing left to give. We write music that we want to hear, without shortcuts, without a proven formula. It has to meet our standards only. Thank you all for putting fuel in the tank. We believe in what we do, and we continue to feel as psyched about touring in 2015 as we did when we started in some dingy little basement in 2003. We’ll see you all soon. . .

We have also shared the official music video for “Chlorine & Wine,” directed by Jimmy Hubbard. Watch it below:
