In case you’re living under a rock (Iraq?), the conflict between Israel and Palestine that’s been going on since the mid-60s has kicked back into high gear since mid-June, with rocket attacks, ground invasions and with casualties on both sides. The fighting has led a solid amount of artists to cancel shows in Israel. Megadeth who wrote “Holy Wars, The Punishment Due” 24 years ago, are among the acts that have pulled out of a show in Tel Aviv, citing “an inability to confirm the guaranteed passage of the band and their gear into Tel Aviv in time for hte show.” So have Cee-Lo Green, Neil Young and Crazy Horse and Lana Del Rey. But you’re not going to be able to add Behemoth to that list. In a short video, Behemoth said that the show was still on, and that everyone cancelling are “fucking pussies.” You go, Behemoth. They’ll be playing Tel Aviv on August 23rd.
