We can finally celebrate 25 years of Edguy with the release of Monuments out today via Nuclear Blast. With that said, it’s been a week of determination, consisting of Five Finger Death Punch’s Ivan Moody determined to return to the stage next month and Kid Rock being serious about becoming the senator of Michigan. While we unfortunately heard a bit of snare added to Meshuggah’s “Bleed,” and noticed Kim Kardashian wearing a Morbid Angel shirt, we did end up seeing the brand new Cradle of Filth video and here are this week’s best.

5) Mr. Big – “Defying Gravity”

Mr. Big premiered a video for the title track to their upcoming album Defying Gravity out July 21st via Frontiers. There’s a lot of energy and enjoyment in this video making it well worth adding to this week’s best.

4) The Lurking Fear – “The Infernal Dread”

Swedish death metallers The Lurking Fear (At The Gates, The Haunted, etc. members) debut album Out of the Voiceless Grave will be released on August 11th via Century Media. The group unleashed the video for the song “Out of the Voiceless Grave” in order to capture their brutal raw style.

3) Edguy – “Open Sesame”

Edguy’s special 25th-anniversary package Monuments was officially released today (14) via Nuclear Blast. To celebrate its arrival, these German metallers premiered a lyric video for the song “Open Sesame.”

2) Rex Brown – “Buried Alive”

Former Pantera bassist Rex Brown will release his debut solo album Smoke On This on July 28th via eOne. Today (14), the legend unveiled a new music video for the song “Buried Alive.”

1) Amon Amarth – “The Way of Vikings”

Swedish metal legends, Amon Amarth surprised us this week with the 1920s-style video for the song “The Way of the Vikings.” You see the band as, “Peaky Blinders,” which are inspired characters at an underground gambling hall and boxing match.  The track is taken from their latest effort, Jomsviking which was released in March last year via Metal Blade.
