Corey Taylor can now add rapper to his musical repertoire. The Slipknot / Stone Sour frontman released his collaboration with UK rapper Kid Bookie on Monday (25th). The track is a new version of the rapper’s 2018 track “Stuck In My Ways.”

Taylor lays down a minute-and-a-half of aggressive, spitfire lyrics on the track, adding a hard rock edge that was already beginning to develop on the original.

According to The Pulse Of Radio, the collaboration started with Kid Bookie praising Slipknot on Twitter, calling their song “Wait And Bleed” as iconic as System of a Down’s “Chop Suey.” He eventually tweeted at Taylor the same day, saying that the two should work together “before both of us leave this earth.” That worked as Taylor responded and the two had something in the works less than a week later.

A lot has been going on with Taylor’s band Slipknot lately. The band is currently working on a new, as-yet untitled album set for release on August 9. In October, they released a new single called “All Out Life.” Over the last week, news broke that percussionist Chris Fehn was suing the band over improper payment. It’s somewhat unclear whether he’s still a member of the band despite the band announcing his removal.

Slipknot will also be heading out on tour this summer on the Knotfest Roadshow. The tour starts July 26 in Mountain View, CA and runs through September 6 in The Woodlands, TX. Aside from Slipknot, Volbeat, Gojira and Behemoth will also be playing.
