For better or for worse, Helmet will always be best known for “Unsung,” their 1992 from Meantime. It’s a great song, the economy of the riffs and the almost jazz-like drumming of John Stanier make it stand out. However, when the band played the Masquerade in Atlanta last Friday, they were joined by the drum line of Atlanta’s St. Pius X Catholic High School for a rendition of the hit. It’s pretty awesome to see a whole bunch of additional percussionists onstage with the band, and it probably sounded amazing live.
