Fire tornado scored to Sonorant is terrifying

Posted by on March 25, 2014

It’s not every day you see a “firenado.” In fact, we didn’t know what one was, even though they’re more commonly known as “dust devils.” Firenado explains things a little better though. A tornado of fire and ashes looks incredible – and incredibly destructive. Rocky Mountain Arsenal firefighter Thomas Rogers got some great video of nature wreaking havok in Denver. It was a prescribed burn, meaning it was purposely set to help decrease the likelihood of hotter fires later in the year, but it was still pretty intense. Made even more intense was Rogers’ choice of music for the YouTube video. He made Sonorant’s “Benediction” the soundtrack to the destruction. How he became a fan of Kongregation/Rape the Dead guitarist Chris Catharsis’ instrumental solo project is unknown, but he did a great job in scoring the inferno.
