KISS is ridiculous, we know that. Gene Simmons are not only beating a dead horse in 2018, but they’re selling the sticks that they beat the horse with. However, it’s undeniable that the band were an unstoppable force in the ’70s, and they have a string of songs that will persist long after they’re gone. One of those songs is “Detroit Rock City,” and anyone from their mid-30s on that appreciates rock music knows that. Foo Fighters, who wrapped up an Australian tour on Tuesday (30) in Melbourne sure do. And so does Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo. The band brought the singer onstage to perform KISS’ hit, and he also played some rhythm guitar.

Tweeting that it was “more rock that can be comprehended,” Weezer shared footage of the band rehearsing the track. Cuomo does a great job of channeling Paul Stanley, and the Foos, well, what can’t they do?
