For a Christian band, For Today seem to have made a pretty anarchic video. Especially in the wake of what’s gone on in Ferguson, MO, to have Mattie Montgomery standing on top of a police car, leading a gang of people walking down a street and urging its listeners to “burn it down” while throwing molotov cocktails is pretty radical. It’s a positive, if not necessarily religious, message behind the song that could pretty easily be used as a rallying cry for protesters. That they’re rallying in front of an empty factory and the police car is also vacant doesn’t take away from the imagery of the video, or the message of the song itself.

“Molotov” is available on the band’s latest album, Fight the Silence, which you can pick up here.
