Former Journey singer Steve Perry performs live for the first time in 19 years

Yeah, we know it’s not really metal and you’re probably sick of “Don’t Stop Belevin'” for one reason or another, but this is pretty cool. Steve Perry, best known as the former frontman for Journey, made a his first live appearance in 19 years at an Eels show in St. Paul, Minnesota. He song on the Eels track “It’s A Motherfucker” and then two Journey classics: “Open Arms” and “Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin'”. This is cool for a number of reasons, but most importantly because 1. he sang songs other than “Don’t Stop Belevin'”, and 2. there isn’t a Glee cast member in sight. Oh, and he still sounds pretty good after all these years.
