“The Axe” is one of the standout tracks on Gojira’s standout album, L’enfant Sauvage. Now the band have released a lyric video for it. Instead of gimmicky methods to showcase the lyrics, there’s simply one beautiful picture of a sunset/storm taken by the band’s Mario Duplantier with the lyrics appearing at the bottom of the screen, much like a subtitled movie. It’s understated and classy, which is about the last thing I’d ever normally say about lyric videos.
