John 5 and The Creatures kicked off their Invasion 2019 North American tour in Mesa, AZ on Tuesday (February 26), and a special guest was there to help them make it a memorable night. During the band’s encore, they welcomed Alice Cooper to the stage to perform a cover of Jimi Hendrix’s hit “Foxy Lady.” Video of the event was captured by a fan:

John 5 gave the legendary rocker a gushing introduction, saying:

“If it wasn’t for this man, there would be no Kiss, there would be no Marilyn Manson, there would be no Rob Zombie, there would be nothing without this man. This man is the master, he is the king. Let’s give it up for your very own, Mr. Alice Cooper!”

The band then proceeded to hammer through the rock hit with Cooper on vocals.

Cooper is just the first guest of what the band has said will be a guest-filled tour. The band has said that select dates, namely those happening in Sacramento, Anaheim and Hollywood, CA, will feature special, high profile guests. While those joining them are, for the most part, still a mystery, it has been revealed that the Hollywood show will feature appearances from Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor, System of a Down bassist Shavo Odadjian, composer and Cinderella drummer Fred Coury and Chickenfoot/ex-Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony.

John 5 and The Creatures are set to release their ninth studio album, Invasion, sometime in summer 2019 with each song premiering as a music video prior to a complete release. So far, they have premiered videos for “Zoinks!,” “Crank It – Living With Ghosts” and, most recently, “I Am John 5.”

The current iteration of John 5 and The Creatures is John 5 on guitar and vocals, Ian Ross on bass, and Logan Miles Nix on drums.

John 5 and The Creatures will continue their ‘Invasion 2019’ tour through April 14. John 5 will then hit the road with Rob Zombie through the summer for a handful of festival dates, as well as on his ‘Twins of Evil: Hell Never Dies’ tour with Marilyn Manson.
