Once again, an Osbourne is in hot water, but this time, it’s Ozzy And Sharon Osbourne’s daughter Kelly. Appearing on The View as a guest, she had a message for Donald Trump, the professional toupee model and Presidential candidate, who’s been attacked for calling illegal immigrants rapists.
Responding to a segment in which co-host Rosie Perez read about Trump’s poll numbers among Latinos, many of whom obviously can’t stand him. “If you kick every Latino out of thise country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?” Osbourne asked. She immediately backpedaled, saying she wasn’t racist, but her words were out there. Perez then looked at her and said “Latinos are not the only people doing that,” and after Whoopi Goldberg came back the show went to break. According to a source at London’s Daily Mail, Osbourne burst into tears, stating “Everyone is going to think I’m racist. I can’t believe this.”
The Mail says that the show ended with Perez apologizing to Osbourne, which she also did on Twitter. Hysterically, Gilbert Gottfried also responded. Later, Osbourne responded to her insensitive comment via Facebook:
At least she owned up to her poor choice of words quickly. It definitely sounds like a comment an out of touch rich person would make without thinking about who it might offend. The reaction from her co-hosts and the public at large will hopefully serve as a reality check for her moving forward. You’d think that with her mom co-hosting The View‘s competition, The Talk, that she might have learned some media lessons.
