If there’s a band that needs a documentary, it’s The Melvins. Such an endeavor has already been underway for the past seven years, and now first time film makers Bob Hannam and Ryan Sutherby are looking to crowd fund the final stages of the massive project. They’re hoping to raise a total of $75,000 by April 8th, all to wrap up production of what will be called, The Colossus Of Destiny – A Melvins Tale.

“Hear what the countless number of peers, collaborators, understudies, admirers, even haters, have to say about their encounters with The Melvins over the past 3 decades and more in our exclusive interviews. And get to feast your eyes on a huge collection of never before seen Live Footage, Photos, Art, Animation and Extracurricular Activities of The Melvins.”

In the trailer below you’ll see appearances from Matt Pike of High on Fire and Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, who are most likely among many others interviewed for this film.

The Melvins have been around since 1983 and released over 20 albums in that time. Their latest effort, Hold It In, came out in October of 2014, and the band recently appeared on “Last Call with Carson Daly” and played two songs.
