As you likely know by now (especially if you’ve been reading Metal Insider) it’s that they’re releasing videos from the new album every two hours. Instead of lyric videos, they’re actually releasing full-fledged music videos. of the five we’ve seen so far (three today), the just-released (via Bravewords) video for ManUNkind is our favorite. In the Jonas Akerlund-directed video, the video goes back to the early days of black metal. The singer wears corpse paint, there’s a Watain-like pig’s head, a Venom-like upside down cross, and a singer that self-mutilates onstage. Given that noted video director Akerlund got his start playing in Bathory, it’s pretty authentically done. This could all just be research for his upcoming adaptation of Lords of Chaos.
