Misha Mansoor of Periphery covers ‘Rick and Morty’ theme

Posted by on August 24, 2015

Wondering what it would sound like if the Rick and Morty theme song got a metal makeover? Neither were we, but then we’re not Periphery guitarist Misha “Bulb” Mansoor, who made his own damn version of the song. Even though the show has only been on the air since 2013, Mansoor still calls it one of his favorite shows of all time. Here’s his commentary from his YouTube page:

This is one of my favorite shows of all time, so this kinda had to happen!
The theme was originally composed by Ryan Elder, and was a fun and challenging one to reinterpret!

What the 35 second long theme interpretation lacks in length, it makes up for in intensity. Given that he’s also worked on the soundtrack to Halo 2, it seems like he should probably get into some actual film scoring.
