Periphery’s Misha Mansoor covers ‘Rick & Morty’ song with his brother

rickmortyEven though Periphery are hard at work on their follow-up to last year’s double-album Alpha Omega for a release this Summer, that hasn’t slowed guitarist Misha Mansoor down any. He decided to join up with his brother Axel to record a cover of a song from Rick & Morty. The second-season episode from last year, Get Schwifty featured a song called that, and it’s already gotten over 1.5 million views on YouTube. The Mansoor brothers’ cover of it isn’t djenty at all. In fact, it’s more orchestral than the bare bones original version. If nothing else, it’s always fun to hear anyone say “take a shit on the floor” in the context of a song, and it’s nice to see brothers playing together.
