If you haven’t heard of Oni yet, that’s probably about to change. The band, most of whom hail from Canada, are the latest signing to Metal Blade’s Blacklight Media label, and their debut album, Ironshore, will be released on November 25th. They’re also going to be on tour with both Max and Iggor Cavalera and Children of Bodom over the next few months, so keep an eye on them. At any rate, the progressive metal band got to play the Knotfest this past weekend, and were joined onstage by none other than Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe. If a ringing endorsement from Blythe isn’t enough of a great way to put Oni on the radar, we don’t know what will be.
