zombiegethighIf you were ever wondering what Rob Zombie’s stance on marijuana is, he’s made it relatively clear by one of the song titles from his forthcoming The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser, which is coming out on April 29th on T-Boy/uME. The song, “In the Age of the Consecrated Vampire, We All Get High,” goes by it’s shortened title, “Get High.” And if that’s not subtle enough of a hint, just watch the video for the song, which premiered at Rolling Stone today. If you’re familiar with Elvis Presley’s ’68 comeback special, in which he performed with a backdrop of his name in lights, Zombie recreated that for the video, but instead of it reading “zombie,” it instead features the song’s abbreviated title.

“I always loved the way Elvis looked on his comeback special standing in front of a giant ‘ELVIS’ sign,” the singer tells Rolling Stone. “So I figured let’s do that, but instead of my name it will say ‘GET HIGH.’ It’s a simple message for everyone.”

The song itself is a short one, barely over two minutes long. It samples Timothy Leary, and with it’s “get, get get, get high” chorus, will be an instant live favorite, especially this summer as the band tours with Korn. Even if their sober tourmates just say no, take a hit of “Get High.”
