Scott Weiland may have been found dead in his tour bus, but according to his wife of two years, Jamie, he was clean when he died. She tells TMZ that while the singer had been drinking socially, he hadn’t been doing any drugs for years. While the article cites a source that said drugs were found on the bus, she says that they weren’t his. She also says that the Wildabouts had a pact not to do drugs. TMZ also cites some “legendary musicians” that were apparently concerned that Weiland had fallen off the wagon, drinking and smoking crack in the days leading up to his death.
Meanwhile, footage from Weiland’s last show, on Tuesday, December 1st at Toronto’s Adelaide Hall, has surfaced. It’s a little disturbing to watch, knowing he’d be dead less than two days later. As far as the performance goes, Weiland sounds and looks pretty good. It’s not like it’s noticeably bad, like the performance from earlier this year.
