Smashing Pumpkins have surprised us today (28th) with a video for the new single “Cyr.” The track is taken from the group’s upcoming album they are currently working on, which is expected to arrive via their new label, Sumerian Records. This would mark the follow-up to 2018’s Shiny and Oh So Bright Vol. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun., which was released via Napalm Records. 

Frontman Billy Corgan comments:

“‘Cyr’ is dystopic folly. One soul against the world sort of stuff, set against a backdrop of shifting loyalties and sped up time. To me it stands as both hopeful and dismissive of what is and isn’t possible with faith.”
