Steve Grimmett returned to the stage this past weekend (14) for the first time since his leg was amputated earlier this year. Steve Grimmett’s Grim Reaper performed during Germany’s Bang Your Head festival and footage can be seen below. Getting back on the stage was what motivated the singer to get stronger each day.

He shared the following message:

“Ok I have had time now I’m back at home from the weekend of metal to sit and reflect on what happen this weekend, to say getting back up on stage was what kept me going since I lost my leg was all worth it, it was but, it was you our fans that have kept me going with all the love and comments of encouragement that have truly touched my soul. I would like to say to you Millie, thank you for all your efforts in keeping me going I know it’s not been easy far from it but you stuck by me making this all a reality for me so, from the bottom of my heart I thank you and I love you, and once again to my fans I love you all, Steve”
