There are a ton of New & Noteworthy releases to explore every Friday and a lot of these come with music videos. We tend to narrow it down to five clips. However, this week is different as there are a total of ten videos that we think are worth checking out.
10) Epica premiere “Kingdom of Heaven” lyric video
Epica are celebrating the tenth anniversary of 2009’s Design Your Universe. These Dutch symphonic metal giants have recently announced three North American dates in celebration of their classic record. Today (9th), the band has unveiled a lyric video for the song “Kingdom of Heaven.” The track is taken from the upcoming re-release of Design Your Universe – Gold Edition, which is scheduled to arrive on October 4th via Nuclear Blast.
Mark Jansen commented:
“’Kingdom of Heaven’ is very dear to me. This song was dedicated to my grandmother after she passed away. The lyrics are dealing with near-death experiences and the bridge between spirituality and science. Up until today it’s the Epica song I’m most proud of and even though we cannot perform it that often live due to its length, we will perform it soon during the Design Your Universe 10th Anniversary shows. Enjoy this lyric video!”
