The ’68 have posted a video for “R (Track 1),” from their debut album, In Humor and Sadness.

Vocalist / guitarist Josh Scogin explained the song-writing for the band to Substream:

“Honestly, a lot of the songs I wrote I would wake up and just right two-three hours immediately, making it a very impulsive/open-minded environment where the songs were able to develop themselves. I think when rock and roll starts to get over-thought, I feel like it loses some of its characteristics.”

The ’68, made up of Josh Scogin (formerly of the Chariot and Norma Jean) and drummer Michael McClellan, did a European / UK tour in August, and will hit the road again starting in October. Be sure to catch them at our Metal Insider 2014 CMJ Showcase later this month, especially since tickets are just $10 for the next few days.
