The Darkness return with a hammer and tongs

With The Darkness coming out with Last of Our Kind in June, the band have released a third track, “Hammer & Tongs.” Judging from the first three song we’ve heard, including this one, it sounds like a pretty diverse album. This song is the most Darkness-sounding song we’ve heard so far from it. “Barbarian,” which was the first track to come out, was surprisingly heavy, and featured Justin Hawking reigning in his falsetto until the chorus. “Open Fire,” the second track, gave us a Cult vibe. And “Hammer & Tongs” is a catchy, almost poppy rock song that should keep everyone that picked up Permission To Land a decade ago very happy indeed.

Last of Our Kind will be out next month, and can be preordered here.
