Y’know, the twelve days of Christmas started on December 25th, so today is only the tenth day. That’s why we’re sharing this pretty heartwarming story with you (and also because it’s kinda a slow news day). A two-month old baby named Lars Decker went to see Santa Claus last month. Little Lars is hearing-impaired and has hearing aids on both of his ears. You might think the infant was named after Lars Ulrich, and you’d be right. In fact, his older brother’s name is Axl.

At any rate, after hearing the that kid was named after Metallica’s drummer, Santa did a somewhat tone-deaf rendition of the spoken word part of “Enter Sandman” (that truthfully sounds more like “Hush Little Baby”) and the kid’s eyes lit up. Him and his mom were thrilled by it, and a Saint Louis TV station KSDK news announcer got to say “heavy metal six string guitar” like it was the first time he heard of music. Everyone wins!
