Tombs release trippy video for pummeling “V”

tombsTombs mastermind Mike Hill might have a line of coffee, but after seeing the just-released video for “V,” we think he might be under the influence of something other than caffeine. The video contains what looks like pagan rituals, a modern, less black metal version of Immortal’s “Call of the Wintermoon,” and shots of the band playing amid some other real cosmic shit. In short, we have no idea what’s going on, but it’s all pretty intense. The song, which starts with angsty melodic, Joy Division-like vocals before getting heavy, is equally intense. Hill says the song “celebrates the infinte nature of man as the decline and ultimate destruction of the universe approaches.” Yep, seems about right.

“V” is taken from the band’s forthcoming five-track EP, All Empires Fall, which will be released on April 1, 2016 on Relapse. You can preorder the album here.
