Pallbearer have managed to make two stellar albums without making a music video. Until now, that is. The band, currently on the road as part of the Decibel tour, today premiered a video for “Watcher in the Dark.” It’s a visually stunning video to go along with the nearly-11 minute doom epic. It mixes footage of nature and an ominous-looking figure that’s likely the watcher of the song’s title. That, along with various kaleidoscopic visuals and shimmering treatments of the band playing, will make you feel like you might be shrooming. Essentially, it’s an awesome short film with an excellent backing track. Look above, or head over to Pitchfork, who premiered the video, to see it. And give massive props to Adam Heathcott, who directed, shot and edited the video.
