Van Halen is performing everywhere it seems; two nights on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” and now on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” The day-time TV appearance was announced last month, all promoting the new live-CD, Live: Tokyo Dome In Concert, and their upcoming North American tour.

The band played “Jump,” from their sixth album 1984. After their performance Roth enthusiastically told Ellen that this appearance on her show was like James Brown’s 1966 appearance on the Ed Sullivan show. The studio audience all got a copy of their new live-CD and tickets to the Van Halen’s upcoming tour.

Thankfully this performance was injury-free for the always-smiling vocalist David Lee Roth, who cut his nose open a few nights ago on the Jimmy Kimmel.
