The COVID-19 pandemic has been one horrific nightmare that has turned lives upside down along with the unfortunate death toll. You may have seen an increase in heated arguments, as opposing opinions continue to unravel. Trap metal artist Becko has issued a strong message, reminding all to embrace human compassion during a time of unprecedented global unrest by releasing a new single and music video for the song “Self Destruction” via FiXT. The vicious beats behind this powerful tune send an overall positive message during this time of uncertainty. The multi-genre solo project created by producer, musician, and vocalist Marco Calanca, has combined influences of EDM, hip-hop, industrial and heavy beats, which you can hear on this new track.

Becko comments:

“‘Self Destruction’ talks about these recent days of the pandemic where people are going crazy thinking about superficial things instead of working on themselves and caring about reinforcing human relationships. With almost every song of mine there are Evangelion references, and they feel especially fitting right now in this time that feels like a dystopian future. The message I want to convey with this song is that we need to consider that being rich is not the key to survival. If you wear a Gucci mask, yeah you will be cool in your coffin, but is it useful?”
