Somehow we totally forgot that the BLS frontman/ex-Ozzy shredder sat in with The Roots during NBC’s Late Night With Jimmy Fallon this past Monday night(June 6). Similar to what Yngwie Malmsteen and Joe Satriani did previously, Zakk Wylde performed with The Roots (the show’s house band) in and out of commercials and at the top of the show.

Wylde’s appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon also saw the guitarist getting hit on by Kathy Lee Gifford. “I thought it was Greg Allman…but cuter,” Gifford flirted. Jimmy Fallon has been giving a lot of metal bands a spot on his show (whether it’s with actual performances or just sitting in with The Roots). Now he can say he’s helping metal heads hook up with crazy day time talk show hosts. Thanks?

You can watch the entire episode featuring Wylde online, but you can also watch a bootlegged video that compiles all of the segments featuring him up top.
