Volvo shows off In Flames in new video

If you buy a new Volvo (or Ferrari or Mercedes), you’re going to be able to control your iPhone via a touch screen  or voice via Apple’s “CarPlay” iOS. What’s even more impressive is that in the video showing that off, the band shown on the screen is In Flames. Both the album cover of Sounds of a Playground Fading and the song “Fear is the Weakness” appear in the 45-second ad. Is it because Volvo and In Flames are Gothenburg’s proudest exports? It doesn’t matter, it’s just another example of metal sneakily infiltrating the mainstream, and we’ll take it. The only thing better would be if In Flames’ music was in the video, but we’ll take what we can get.
