Metallica are currently on the European leg of their WorldWired tour as the group performed at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany this past Saturday (6th). These giants have unleashed professionally shot footage of their performance of “Sad But True” and you can watch the clip below:

Shortly after playing “Sad But True,” the group went into “Welcome Home (Sanitarium)” followed by guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo’s doodle, which included a cover of Rammstein’s “Engel.”

According to Setlist.FM, Hammett’s guitar strap unfortunately broke just before his solo for “Master of Puppets” and you can watch the below fan-filmed footage:

A few weeks before their German gig, the legends were faced with another challenge as they performed the same song in the pouring rain in Manchester, England and you can watch the pro-shot clip below:

Metallica will be touring across Europe up until August 25th as their European WorldWired run is scheduled to conclude in Germany. These legends will then return to San Francisco for a special two-night-only event to celebrate the grand opening of the Chase Center as they will be joined by the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra for the first time in two decades bringing S&M2 to life on September 6th and 8th. The Bay Area icons will then head out to Australia and New Zealand for a few shows in October with Slipknot as their special guests.

Hopefully, sometime after their tour dates we will hear an update on a possible follow-up to 2016’s Hardwired…to Self-Destruct as Rob Trujillo once assured the next Metallica album will arrive “a lot sooner than the previous two.”
