The bus accident that The Ghost Inside suffered last year was an awful one for everyone involved. Two people lost their lives, and it’s going to be a long road of recovery for the band. Singer Jonathan Vigil broke both of his ankles and fractured his neck and guitarist Zack Johnson actually lost a few toes, but that pales in comparison to drummer Michael Tkaczyk, who revealed last month that he lost a leg in the accident. Thankfully, he’s got a positive attitude, and plans on continuing to drum for the band. In a video posted by Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital,the inspirational video shows him talking about coming back and working with physical therapists. There’s also an interview with his doctor, Stephen Bloom, who’s also a drummer. Honestly, it looks like Tkaczyk still has a long road back, but the Chris Pratt lookalike’s attitude seems like it’ll take him a long way, and the support that the band’s gotten from their label and the metal community as a whole appears to be helping.
