We’re not sure where Mojoes is in Chicago, but apparently it’s on the wrong side of the tracks. According to a press release from eOne, this Sunday’s Metalliance Tour show at that venue is no longer happening due to a gang shooting. The city has apparently put a seven day hold on the venue’s operation license, forcing the show to be moved. It’s now taking place at a venue called Bada Brew, on 802 Theodore Street. Everything else is the same. I don’t know, between Crowbar, Helmet and St. Vitus alone, that’s a pretty imposing looking gang of individuals. Add in the other four acts playing, and the bands alone could probably take on just about any gang. In fact Metalliance is a pretty good name for a gang. If you’re a ticket holder for the show, all tickets will be honored.
