Carnifex Back From the Dead for ‘Never Say Die! Tour’

Posted by on June 11, 2013

You might have heard that California deathcore quintet Carnifex went on hiatus last year. Well, it was a pretty short-lived hiatus, as they’re now replacing metalcore group Miss May I on this summers Impericon Never Say Die! tour. The tour features other acts that have ‘core’ in the genre description such as Emmure, I Killed the Prom Queen, and Betraying the Martyrs.

Carnifex kept news of their return brief, with this quote that was posted on their Facebook page;

Back from the fucking dead. Keep checking back for more news.

Regarding their departure from the tours bill, Miss May I vocalist Levi Benton posted this statement:

Hey guys
Unfortunately we are sad to announce we won’t be making it out to the Never Say Die tour. We’re bummed that we won’t be able to play this amazing tour in front of a bunch of badass fans but we had a once in a lifetime opportunity that came our way. We are working right now on getting another UK/EURO tour together to make up for it. We will play twice as hard for you to make it worth the wait.
As always, Stay Metal – Levi

The tour kicks off in October, and will be heading to various locations in Europe. Whether Carnifex’s participation in the tour means a full return to the music scene remains yet to be seen.
